CBCT

Seeing Beyond Imagination

Why CBCT (CONE BEAM COMPUTERISED TOMOGRAPHY)
Cone beam CT provides high resolution, volumetric images that provide complete three-dimensional views of critical anatomy for more thorough analysis of bone structure and tooth orientation.
Cone beam CT delivers accurate scans with images comparable to medical CTs with a much lower radiation dose, with comfortable patient positioning and quicker scan durations.
Cone beam CT images are 3D images hence different from typical dental intra oral X-rays that produce 2-D pictures.
3-D cone beam images have no magnifications, no distortions, no superimpositions and have precise relationship between structures.

CBCT Advantages
Regular Medical CT scanners are large-sized machines mostly available at hospital and major diagnostic scanning centers,
while Cone Beam scanners are much smaller in size and mostly available at the clinicians’ office or at dedicated maxillofacial scanning centers.
The cone beam CT provides unprecedented imaging of the maxillofacial area with less radiation than traditional fan beam computed tomography systems.

Open Format: The patient is stabilised using a chis rest and the x-ray unit and detector rotate around the patient’s head providing plenty of room without feeling claustrophobic.
Rapid Scan: The rotational scan takes no more than 20 seconds. The entire procedure, less than 5 minutes.
Comfortable: Positioning is more convenient with the patient seated or standing rather than lying down.
Less Radiation: Effective radiation dose: 90% less radiation compared to Medical CT
Ease:The Entire Procedure is painless, non invasive with an output of highly detailed images and full 3D reconstruction.
